Wolomi is a maternal health advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C. We are a woman-led team of strategists passionate about empowering women of color on their pregnancy journey. We are a diverse and inclusive team of dreamers with a passion for improving women of color maternal health outcomes.

We are looking for a remote marketing intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter interested in learning more about growing a start-up company.

What you’ll do:

• Create content for our social media, app, and our email newsletters. Help us manage our content calendar.

• Engage with the Wolomi community of moms across our social media and the app.

• Work directly with our marketing manager to strategize on expanding our visibility and increasing our traction online.

• Support with the creation of design marketing materials, including but not limited to: website, social media, email marketing, & app assets.

 

We look for interns who are: 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field 

• Excellent writing and proofreading/editing skills (with impeccable spelling and grammar/punctuation) 

• Experience using the Adobe Canva and/ Figma

• Creative strategic thinkers with a knack for storytelling  

• Energetic and independent self-starters

• Proactive Problem solvers with a positive attitude

• Able to execute in a fast-paced, deadline-driven scrappy team environment with extraordinary attention to detail and follow-through

 

You will work for a total of 20 - 3o hours a month. Meetings will happen virtually over Google Meet. We are intentional about creating a meaningful experience for our interns. This is a very hands-on internship for individuals seeking mentorship. There will be weekly meetings, brainstorming through current projects, and learning the ins & outs of marketing a start-up. This is an internship that can be taken for school credit.
